Yves Netzhammer in conversation with Axel Wieder, Curator of Exhibitions at Arnolfini.

Over the years, Swiss artist Yves Netzhammer (born in 1970, Schaffhausen) in has developed a multifaceted interdisciplinary body of work unifying graphic, sculptural and computer-animated elements. His surreal objects endlessly extend out into the material universe what his films have conceived in the virtual realm, this way pushing the limits of our own imagination.

Yves Netzhammer’s Triptychon 2013 installation will be shown in the Dark Studio between Thursday 19 – Sunday 22 September (11am to 6pm).

This event is part of the Animated Encounters festival’s celebration of all things Swiss. Also in this programme are the Franz Treichler Plays Dada live score event (Friday 20 September 2013, 8.30pm and The Chalet Show: Swiss Animation Greats, a screening of outstanding animated shorts (Friday 20 September 2013, 5pm). There are also special Swiss screenings and events happening over at Watershed during the week.

Presented by Swiss Films.
